Built For Performance
Whichever blade you pick, it is forged the same way, by the same hands, to the same spec.
Layered steel folded around the core for strength, flex and the signature feather pattern.
A premium high-carbon Japanese core steel that takes a wicked edge and keeps it.
Hardened for edge retention, so the knife stays sharp through months of use.
Every blade is sharpened by hand to 12 degrees before it ships, then inspected and oiled.
The steel runs the length of the handle for balance and a lifetime of strength.
Responsibly sourced olive burl, shaped and polished by hand. One piece, no pins, no rivets.
Why Switch From Stamped Knives To Feather Forge
Most kitchen knives are punched out of sheet steel and machine edged. These are forged, layered and finished by hand.

73 layers of feather Damascus folded around a Japanese AUS-10 core. Denser steel, a stronger edge, and a pattern no two blades share.

Hardened to 60 HRC and hand sharpened to a 12 degree edge. It holds that edge through months of daily prep instead of days.

Full tang construction with a one-piece olive burl handle. Light enough for hours of prep, solid enough to feel like a real tool.

Chef, santoku, nakiri, bunka, utility, cleaver. Pick the one your kitchen is missing instead of buying a block you half use.

Cook with it for 99 days. If it's not the sharpest knife you've owned, send it back for a full refund. No questions asked.

Every handle is cut from responsibly sourced olive wood, so the knife looks as good on the block as it feels on the board.

Most people who buy one Feather Forge come back for a second. The duos and the Complete Set cost less than buying the same blades one at a time.

Questions? Let us help you
Which shape should I pick?
If you only want one knife, take the 8" Chef. It handles around 90% of what happens on a board. Pick the 7" Santoku if you want something lighter and more precise, the 7" Nakiri if you mostly cut vegetables, the 7" Bunka if you want an all-rounder with a sharp tip for detail work, the 6" Utility for small jobs and trimming, and the 8" Cleaver if you break down a lot of meat.
How sharp are they really?
Every Feather Forge blade is hand sharpened to a 12 degree edge and hardened to 60 HRC before it ships. Most kitchen knives leave the factory at 20 degrees or more. The difference is a knife that glides through a tomato skin instead of crushing it, and holds that edge for months of daily use.
Are all six shapes the same steel?
Yes. Every shape is 73 layers of feather Damascus forged around a Japanese AUS-10 core, full tang, with a one-piece olive burl handle. Only the blade geometry changes.
Do I need a discount code?
No. The price you see is the price you pay. There is nothing to enter at checkout.
Can I return it if I don't like it?
Yes. You get 99 days at home with it. If you are not completely happy, send it back for a full refund or exchange, even if you have used it. We want you to cook with it before you decide.
How does the lifetime warranty work?
If your knife ever develops a manufacturing defect we repair or replace it free of charge, for the lifetime of the product. Email us photos and your order details and we take it from there. Like all lifetime warranties it does not cover misuse (prying, bones, frozen food), intentional damage, normal edge wear or rust from improper storage.
Is Damascus steel hard to look after?
A little more than a stainless supermarket knife. Wash by hand, dry straight away and add a light coat of oil now and then. Every knife ships with a care leaflet. Treat it well and it will outlast every other knife in your drawer.
Will the blade rust?
Not if it is hand washed and dried. The AUS-10 core is a high-carbon steel, which is why it takes such a sharp edge, so leaving it wet in the sink or in a dishwasher can spot it. Dry it after use and you will never see a mark.
Do the handles have pins or rivets?
No. Feather Forge handles are one piece of olive burl with a steel bolster, shaped and polished by hand. There are no mosaic pins, rivets or inlays.
Can I order it as a gift?
Yes. Enter your own email for the order summary and the recipient's name and shipping address. We keep all prices and receipts out of the package.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on knife orders. The Emperor's Throne Set includes our acacia display block, which ships at our heavy-item rate, and that is shown in the cart before you pay.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we offer both domestic and international shipping options. Customs duties and taxes outside the US are the customer's responsibility.
How can I track my order?
Tracking is emailed to the address on your order as soon as it is on its way. Need a hand? Email support@thecookingguild.com.
